Assignment type : Research Paper

Description
Research Project Drop Box

In-Depth, 10-15 slide Multimedia PowerPoint Presentation (not including title slide or citation slides)

This is a research project. Your principal sources will be recordings (audio or audio/visual), books, published articles, and credible websites. You must use and cite at least 5 sources, and must have at least one of each from the above list. The textbook is not considered a valid source; neither is Wikipedia. Please see the instructor if you have any questions on how to do the research. Recordings can be made available if necessary.

The rough draft must include an outline with at least 3 MLA citations, and at least three slides of content. The Final Draft will need a Works Cited List using proper MLA style and in-text citations on the slides.

Final presentations must include a title slide and a works cited slide, and 10-15 slides of content, including at least one audio or video example in the slideshow. Parenthetical citations should be included in the same manner as a paper.

Topics will be major works or styles of American Music. These will be assigned by the instructor.

You should include information about the composer, the form, historical context, genre, etc.

You only need to turn in the completed project with a works cited list in MLA format (with in-text citations). You do not need an outline for the final draft.

You should have 10-15 slides of actual content. With a title and citation slide, that means at least 12 total.
